Founder Story
A founder story is the coherent narrative explaining why a founder started their company, what problem they personally experienced or observed, and why they are positioned to solve it. Investors and early customers often evaluate the founder story alongside the business model, especially at the earliest stages when the business has little independent track record.
Example
A founder who spent a decade in an industry before building software to fix a problem they lived with has a founder story that supports, rather than distracts from, the pitch.
