Proof points are the specific, verifiable facts, credentials, results, media mentions, case studies, that support a professional's claims of expertise. Positioning without proof points reads as self-promotion; positioning backed by proof points reads as credibility.

Example

"20 years advising public company boards" and "featured in three industry publications" are proof points that support an executive's leadership positioning.
