Trust Signal

A trust signal is any visible cue that reduces the perceived risk of working with a professional: a credential, a media mention, a client testimonial, a professional association, or a consistent publication history. Trust signals do not replace expertise, but they make existing expertise easier to believe at a glance.

Example

A "Featured In" bar showing recognizable publication logos on a homepage is a trust signal, it does not prove expertise on its own, but it lowers a visitor's guard.
